Title: A Beat to Drive You On
Notes: This was one of the Big Damn Fanmix project mixes that I never got around to finishing and posting last year, but since the shuffle's been serving up a lot of songs with a strong beat lately, I figured I'd finish this (procrastination? what procrastination? >_>).
upupa_epops said she likes to write to music with a strong beat, so here's a bunch of toe-tapping, air-drumming (or guitaring, depending on what the beat is from) songs that might help drive the wordcount forward. At the very least, I think it's a pretty good collection of songs for anything from writing to working out to dancing around the house like a dork. Enjoy!

Notes: This mix, another one of my failed Big Damn Fanmix Project, is for
acidamoeba, who requested the theme of "Crash and Burn." I made the playlist and stuck one song I wanted to try and build a mix around on it, and eventually added a few more, but it wasn't coming together. And since I've been procrastinating like a mofo lately, I ended up finishing this yesterday, and ended up removing the original song and the ones I'd added to it and doing something completely different.
I imagine this to be the soundtrack to some sort of post-apocalyptic story with a lone survivor fighting... I don't know, something apocalypse-inducing, or maybe other survivors of the not-so-noble variety. I haven't played much Fallout, but I'm vaguely familiar with it, and the idea of a wasteland devoid is strong in my mental image for the story this mix might be for.
It doesn't tell the whole story, maybe more like the first chapter. I don't know what the rest of it is like - happy? sad? tragic? I don't know if she finds any other survivors. But I know it's epic and vast and world-shattering.
